What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

 Have you ever had one of those days when the stars are aligned, and everything works out exactly as you want? 

That seemed to be the case yesterday. And I have to say that nothing was earth-shattering -- it was just good news all around. 

It started when I got this e-mail. 

While I knew this update was coming, I can now download and install the new software. The last time a new upgrade happened, I had to wait months for my turn. They don't want to overload the support team, so they stagger the updates. We paid a high ...

The missing window has been located! Yeah! I was so worried that the issue I uncovered back in June hadn't been rectified, but I was sure that I scoured that contract before shelling out the money. When I returned from the morning walk, the guys were already hard at work in the garage on the window that had initially been forgotten. Phew -- that means the contract should be OK. 

The missing window was in the warehouse, and it was a challenge to keep them all straight when they had so many windows! But we are good to go.

I knew you would all come through for me! I see TWO suggestions to use VLC as a media player, NOT Windows Media Player. I will have to try that later today and see if my DVD plays. Thanks to Linda and Elle for the suggestion! You are the BEST!!!

The morning was a bit hectic, and well - I goofed! I returned from my walks with the girls only to discover that my FitBit was still in the charger! 

Wait - you forgot me!!!!

Hmm - now what to do? Do I add a few KM to my numbers that get logged ...

I'm in big trouble. The weather has turned warm, and I want to be outside all day! I did a bit of yard cleanup yesterday - no jacket! I sat in the gazebo for a bit, and after my walk, I sat in the yard eating my snack. Oh yes -- bring on spring! It's going to be even warmer today! I know - that we could still get snow - I know that.

 I'm feeling pretty accomplished these days. I still have a lot to do, but I'm making progress in all areas, which feels good. I have the time to work on things that are not urgent, and well, things are under control. However, I did forget that I had a meeting yesterday. Oh - it was in my calendar, and well, I was so focused sewing in the afternoon that POOF - the thought never occurred to me. 

I must get better about reviewing the day's events in the morning so that the items stick in my head!!

The good ...

 WHAT A WEEKEND!!!!!!   It was crazy with FIVE different classes or clubs. For a minute, I thought I wasn't going to be ready for all of them, but I was, and everything worked PERFECTLY. That's what happens when you plan. You think I'm outside just walking? Oh no - I'm thinking about staying ahead of the students and planning the upcoming lessons. That walking time is valuable for my brain and for my body!!!

Speaking of which, I'll get the walking update out of the way.  On my Appalachian Trail walk, I'm making amazing progress ...

You know what? The e-mail issue was probably a VERY GOOD thing. It forced me to take a serious look at my e-mail situation, and it's BAD. 

I'm pretty good at filing e-mails into my complex (well - it's not that complex) file folder system. But I do need to delete some of those folders. I don't belong to any guilds now - no need to keep any of guild-related e-mails. And just like that - GONE!! There are other folders of e-mails that I no longer need to keep. Let's just say that I did a LOT ...

Yesterday was a UFO day! The morning started off a wee bit slow - don't ask me why, but it did.

Then I was able to gather steam and I made up for the lost time.

I started the day off by making the backing for this small wall hanging. Even though the wall hanging is small, I had to piece the backing.
